I love backpacking. With Hoofers, I lead everything from weekend trips on the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin to week long trips to the desert of Utah. On my own time, I’m a ultralight gearhead with long-distance goals of the PCT, PNT, and CDT after I graduate. Outside of Hoofers, I’m studying environmental science and history.

I do Sea Kayaking as an alternative to hiking and backpacking when weather permits. I love it because since there's no trail to follow, it feels like I'm the first one there! My favorite place to paddle in Wisconsin is the Apostle Islands. When the water is too cold, backpacking in far places is fun. When the water is frozen, I enjoy to telemark and downhill ski too. I've been fortunate to Sea Kayak and Backpack in Alaska as well through NOLS. WFR certified.
Right now, I'm serving at the Vice President of the Hoofer Outing Club. I believe in what Hoofers does - bridging gaps to get into the outdoors may that be hard skills, soft skills, equipment access, experience, money, social capital or knowledge.

We're fortunate to have world class sea kayaking with the Great Lakes nearby. My favorite destinations are the Apostle Islands, Isle Royale, and Pictured Rocks in Lake Superior. Far flung adventures include kayaking in the Caribbean Sea at Belize and Roatan, and in the Sea of Cortez at Southern Baja Mexico.
