Lake Mendota algae problems
Lesson instructors, please cancel or move your lesson if the lake looks or smells bad. There is the potential for people getting sick from exposure to the lake under these conditions. Please err on the side of caution. We understand that there is a lot of pressure to not cancel a lesson, which is why we are encouraging you to be conservative.\tThis warning applies to lessons in which water immersion is likely or required, namely kayak lake lessons, rolling lessons, rescue lessons, but does not apply to canoe lessons, unless wind conditions make an upset likely.
