Beyond The Lake
When announcing a paddling trip, you MUST include the details of the trip in an email to the Water Safety Chair (watersafety@hooferouting.org). If you don't want to put the details in an email to the outing-announce list, and want to put them on the website instead, then send a separate email with the details (When, where, type of paddling, rating required). If you really want to help out, include the when and where info in the email header.Why? All the paddling trips go into a yearly file. If we are ever audited by the Union or Risk Management, things need to be organized. Remember, the Safety Code says the Safety Board has to ok and have knowledge of all paddling trips. Leaders need to send me this information in an organized way.
