For All Paddlers
Some things in the club are independent to activity groups, but for paddling, we have tons of resources that don't fit in one group. We've pretty much got a mini paddling club within our club. We have a lot of people who paddle canoes, sea kayaks, and whitewater kayaks on a regular basis and we've got equipment and space that are shared by these groups. Also, when you're first learning to paddle, whichever type of boating you're planning on doing, you're probably going to find yourself in different types of boats on a regular basis.
We use whitewater kayaks for a lot of our practice sessions and our lake lesson, but that's only because they're small and good for teaching fundamentals. Many of our sea kayakers have no intention of ever going down a river (a fast river anyway), but you'll see them loading up for the pool with whitewater boats just like everybody else. Of course, we'd encourage all you adventure seekers to take in the whitewater that Wisconsin has to offer, but even our daredevils can be seen in an open boat for moonlight canoeing.
Our club is open to paddlers of all types. Even if you have your own boat, joining can be good just for hooking up with other paddlers for trips or conversation. In fact, many of the boaters in the club don't use any club equipment but keep coming back anyway. In this section we've tried to annex all our paddling resources (see links in the menu to the left) so that whatever your paddling involvement with the club is, you'll get your questions answered.
